    The 2.0 TSI® engine in the Golf GTI boasts 241 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque, while the standard “VAQ” electronically-controlled limited slip differential gives you sure-footed traction for a multitude of challenging conditions.

    The GTI’s iconic manual transmission is going for one final victory lap, as 2024 marks the last year of the standard 6-speed manual transmission. And for those of you who prefer automatic, Volkswagen’s lightning-quick 7-speed dual-clutch (DSG®) transmission is here to stay.

  • Vehicle Dynamics Manager (VDM)

    Perfectly balanced

    The Vehicle Dynamics Manager (VDM) constantly monitors driver input to optimize vehicle response, creating a neutral balance with minimal understeer.

    In trims equipped with available Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) adaptive dampers, VDM can adjust individual wheel damping rates 200 times per second for improved lateral agility and stability.

  • Summer Performance Tires

    Take hold of the season

    The Golf GTI Performance automatic trim comes with 19-inch Adelaide alloy rim wheels, while the Performance and Autobahn trims in manual come with Estoril alloy rim wheels wrapped in high-performance summer tires* for maximum lateral grip and more precise steering response.

    *The use of winter tires is mandatory in some provinces. Proper winter or all season tires is recommended for wet, snowy or icy conditions.

  • Limited Slip Differential (VAQ)

    Talk torque

    The Vorderachsquersperre (or VAQ) is a torque-sensing, electro-hydraulic limited slip differential that’s electronically controlled for ultimate precision. Working in concert with the Golf GTI’s Vehicle Dynamics Manager, VAQ controls torque distribution across the front axle. When accelerating out of a corner or in slippery conditions, power can be precisely shifted left-and-right for improved traction and control.

  • Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC)

    Everyone’s comfort zone is different

    Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) reacts to the road surface and driving conditions to adjust the suspension damping rate and optimize performance. Pre-set profiles include Comfort, Eco, and Sport, while Individual mode offers even further customization.

  • Sports Steering Wheel

    Hands-on experience

    Get a grip with GTI’s classic sport steering wheel, heated as standard with a GTI red clasp and larger paddle shifters for DSG®-equipped models. A touch control interface incorporates haptic feedback, allowing easy access to various navigation, audio, and driver assistance features.

    Keep your eyes safely fixed on the road with the available Head-Up Display (HUD). Once activated, a section of the windshield becomes a projection surface to display key driver details like speed and navigation instructions.

    Racing-style front bucket seats with integrated headrests feature a red wrap-around accent, GTI embroidered logos, classic GTI plaid cloth seating and side bolstering that’s supportive enough for the track without sacrificing the comfort needed for the drive-thru.
