Call in to this WV Dealership for a Check engine Light issue Today Dec 16 I was Told a 2 hr needed for a Diagnostic report on my car so I give them my permission to go ahead.after 2 hr they couldn't find the problem so again they needed more time. Is this even legal?!!! Stay away from this dealership and their shady practises! This dealership had a 2018 used car advertised on their website. Family and I went in to test test drive the vehicle. We liked the vehicle and were interested in negotiating a deal on the car. If you buy a car 🚗 at that dealership you have to get on your hands and knees to check out the car 🚗 under it or if you find something wrong with it a couple days later they say it was not there when you left with it so l would not go to by a car from them anymore so look out and the car was dirty now pick up so just be careful if you go there Thanks

Be very wary of The salesteam at this dealership. Alfred Chan, Billy Li and Gavin make up mechanical conditions. They DO NOT consult with a qualified mechanic to diagnose a car. This scam is done to low ball the price of your vehicle you bring in to sell. They told me I had ENGINE FAILURE because of a fluctuation in the RPM. Very bad experience. My first dealing with them was in April 2017. They gave me a quote for Golf Comfortline and I accepted the offer. I was waiting for the paperwork. Then the sales manager came in and told me that they have made a mistake. They changed the sale price by $800. So I just walk out and crossed the street and bought a Honda civic. Courtesy shuttle arrived 50 minutes later then scheduled. The supervisor told me there was only 1 driver who was picking up a person at Bridgeport station. The driver arrived alone. The supervisor called the driver. The driver put him on speakerphone. The supervisor told the driver about the second driver that went to pick up some other customers. So there were 2 drivers to begin with. It took me 1 hour 45 minutes to get to Cowell VW.

Took advantage of elderly who doesn't fully understand what they're signing. They did not explain that the added insurance policies sold were optional. No one is willing to take ownership of what happened. Use extreme caution or stay away from Cowell altogether due to unethical practices and poor services. These people have no conscience.

These folks took full advantage of elderly people, charging them MSRP rates, $500 doc fees + $500 Prep fees, and selling them useless additional insurance policies. Buyer beware; very dishonest and untrustworthy. Have someone knowledgeable look over the final doc before signing. No one mentioned that the insurance ($3000) is an option and snugged it in there. I can`t be more satisfied, before walking into Cowell VW I did my homework very well and asked assistance from an outside expert , Walked in on Sunday July 16th 2017, greeted very professionally by a sales consultant ALEX, shook hands with him in five minutes, got a very good lease offer , was not pushed to buy any other unnecessary packages , Bought the lease protection as I asked for it . We have a 2014 Jetta, gas model. Have taken it in a few times for the "recommended " service. Each time we pay way too much for an oil change and tire rotation, and the silly checklist. ( I think two times they never even topped up the washer fluid, contrary to the check list...) What else is really needed in the first few years? Then they want to do a brake fluid flush on a 2 year old car? I think dealer service are all in trouble these days as cars need less and less. Plus they can't charge everything ...

I've recently bought a new SUV from Cowell and have had constant issues with it. I have taken it to their shop several times and they cant fix it. They have offered no solution to the issues and all they can say is " bring the car for us to check it again". I will never ever buy a VW again from this guys as once they sell a car they do not care about the customer.

After experiencing some poor quality work and the run around at two competing dealers, it was refreshing to deal with Cowell VW (at the Richmond Auto Mall). Their honesty, degree of customer service and intentions to put things right with a problematic automobile were a nice change from our previous experience and we cannot recommend them enough.
