Most EV owners opt for installing a level 2 240v home charging station which will charge a 62kWh from zero-100%* in about 8.1 hours for a 62 kWh battery and 10.7 hours for an 82kWh battery. The available Volkswagen 2-in-1 Charging Cable conveniently provides both ways of charging in one single cable.     In the new, fully electric ID.4, an optional heat pump ensures energy-efficient and environmentally friendly heating of the interior. This requires less power from the battery. The benefit? Greater range in cold weather.
